Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) has been recently confirmed in a deer in Cass County. A suspect human case in Cass County is also under investigation. There have been two human cases of EEE confirmed in our neighboring counties (Kalamazoo and Berrien Counties). This is a serious illness spread by mosquitoes and requires immediate medical attention. Please refer to these attachments sent from the Van Buren/Cass District Health Department regarding EEE.
